The best thing was hearing the wolves howl but the walk through the woods looking for signs of wolf and moose activity was also magical. Standing in the woods silently, in the dark waiting for the howl is an intense experience. Read full reviewResponsible Travel

Encounters with wild animals is a way to connect people with nature, to educate people about the importance of biodiversity and a healthy ecosystem, and to inspire people to take action to save the wildlife and the environment. This is our contribution to make the world a little bit wilder. In Sweden, as in most other parts of the World, forests are logged and replaced by plantations and wild animals are often just seen as problems and costs for farmers and landowners. What can we do to change this view?
It is quite simple…
When nature and wildlife provide income for local people and businesses, it is more likely preserved for the future.
We are proud to know that our small tour company is often used as a good example by others to prove that wild nature can be a substantial income for rural areas, and that wild animals are in fact worth more alive than dead.
Most politicians are already aware that tourism means substantial income. Now we just need to convince them that wild nature is Sweden’s main attraction and that is one more reason why we need to preserve more of it.
We received the Grand Travel Award as best ecotourism company in Sweden 2009. And then we received the Swedish Tourism Award as tourism company of the year in Sweden 2015. We are approved with the Swedish quality label for ecotourism, Natures Best since 2004.
• We respect wild animals by staying at respectful distance, never chase och deliberately disturb them
• We travel in small groups for less impact on the local environment
• We encourage our guests to travel by train
• We reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible
• All meals are based on locally produced ingredients and vegetarian is always one of the main options
• We don’t use plastic plates, mugs or cutlery
• Our electric boat motors are charged on local hydro-power
• These electric boat motors minimise disturbance for wildlife and locals
• We provide equipment and camping gear to reduce consumption
• Refillable water bottles is encouraged

We work with local guides only. That is why we can take you to the very best places to see wildlife up close in areas of Sweden where most other visitors never go. To make your vacation complete, we cooperate with small, family run guesthouses in rural villages with friendly and engaged staff. This create local job opportunities in rural areas and also provides you with a much more authentic experience. All of our guesthouses have cosy and friendly atmosphere. The food is locally produced and the dishes are mainly from the area, often with sustainable meat like wild boar and free ranging lambs along with wild chantarelles and sweetened lingonberries. We always offer vegatarian dishes. Blueberries can be picked in the forest along the walks and we often bring hot drinks out into the wild.• All inclusive tours contribute greatly to the local economy
• Local guides become ambassadors for nature and wildlife
• Local food and drinks contribute to the local community
• We contribute with data to the Scandinavian Wolf Project
• We are members of the local neighbourhood watch
• We grant Save the Forest Award each year to show respect and acknowledgment to young people who stand up for the biodiversity in Sweden’s wild and beautiful forests.
