Every product we make has an impact, but it also has potential. From fabric choices to manufacturing processes, we’re working to reduce that impact, extend the product's life, and improve the systems & processes behind our gear. It’s not about chasing trends or simple solutions. It’s about building better products, responsibly.
Recycled Materials
We’re increasing the use of recycled fabrics across our range and are targeting 80% recycled fabric use in our Autumn/Winter 2025 clothing styles. But recycled isn’t always the full answer. That’s why we’re also exploring alternative fibres, lower-impact manufacturing processes, and the energy profiles of our fabric and component suppliers.
Our goal isn’t to switch to 100% recycled materials - it’s to build products that balance performance, longevity, and impact reduction.

Animal Welfare & Ethical Sourcing
Our DOWN CODEX® programme has set the benchmark for ethical down sourcing in the outdoor industry since 2009. We’ve eliminated live-plucking, force-feeding, and bill-trimming, and all our down is RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified.
All animal-derived materials must be a by-product of the food industry, and our suppliers are expected to uphold the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare. This is detailed in our Restricted Substances List and Sourcing Requirements.
Chemical Management
We aim to be PFAS-free across all new production by Autumn/Winter 2025. Many chemicals used in outdoor products - from dyestuffs to glues - are restricted, and these regulations vary across global markets.
Our approach is proactive and science-based, and outlined in our:
