In depth story review

“It was absolutely fantastic. We had the idea a few years ago to do a family trip together – a real multi generational vacation. So it was a long time in the planning. ”

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Variety of actives (walking, cycling, rafting and climbing). Antoine, our guide, was fantastic. We were fortunate to have a great group ambiance and perfect weather.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Requires a good level of fitness to get the most from the activities.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The vacation benefited local people to some extent e.g. use of local restaurants, guides for activities on free day. No specific reduction in environmental impact / support of conservation.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Overall we very much enjoyed the vacation (see question 1 above), although the hotel was quite basic.

Read the operator's response here:

Hi Rob, thank you for your review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your vacation and found Antoine to be a fantastic local leader.

We appreciate your concerns regarding the environmental impact and conservation support of this tour. Our aim is to tread as lightly as possible on the destinations we visit. This tour is designed to immerse our customers in the beautiful nature of the Andorras, with low-impact, adventurous activities, and modes of travel like hiking, biking and rafting. Whilst private transport is integrated into the tour to get our customers from A to B, we do closely measure our carbon emissions. This allows us to minimize our carbon emissions wherever possible. Furthermore, we also recognize the global impacts that single-use plastic causes, which is why we minimize plastic waste as much as possible on our trips. For example, our leaders buy large water jugs for our travelers rather than supporting the purchases of individual single-use water bottles.

Thanks again for your review and feedback, we hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The mountain biking was great fun (we had no previous experience) and we loved the white water rafting (we have a 15 year old teenage girl). The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful. The guides were great .
It was lovely meeting new like minded people and lovely that all the teenagers could mix too.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Great family vacation, its fun doing different adventures each day (walking , biking , water rafting etc).
The hotel is very basic but very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Take good walking shoes, a fleece, sunhat, suncream and a waterproof in a rucksack each day as the weather can change. Take lots of snacks for the
walking trips.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Great Vacation, we loved it !
