Small group tour, ideal for solos & couples:
Small group travel is not large group travel scaled down. It is modeled on independent travel – but with the advantage of a group leader to take care of the itinerary, accommodation and tickets, and dealing with the language. It’s easy to tick off the big sights independently – but finding those one-off experiences, local festivals, traveling markets and secret viewpoints is almost impossible for someone without the insider knowledge gained from years in the field. For those with limited time, a small group tour will save valuable time in planning, and on vacation.

Great guide, amazing sights (even without seeing Northern lights!) Read full reviewReviewed on 24 Nov 2022 by Grita Rose-Innes
We had the best local guide you could wish for. His knowledge was so valuable in helping us to understand what we were seeing and visiting in Iceland. We saw so much in such a short time. Fantastic! The trip was beyond our expectations. Read full reviewReviewed on 04 Feb 2022 by Peter Lawrence
The whole vacation exceeded our expectations and so difficult to identify just one memorable event. The scenery everywhere we went, the amazing waterfalls, the swim in naturally hot water, the ice cave in the glacier and the ice blocks on the beach and floating in the lagoon catching the oranges and pinks of the setting sun. It was better than I could have expected and I didn't see the Northern lights! I had gone to see them - it didn't happen but the trip was so wonderful - it didn't matter!! Read full reviewReviewed on 08 Mar 2020 by Ian Standeven

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
We are a big supporter of the protection of endangered species around the world. Although a global ban on commercial whaling came into effect in 1986, approximately 1,000 whales are still being killed every year, with Iceland being one country to defy the ban. We encourage our travelers to avoid purchasing whale-based dishes or souvenirs to discourage fueling this trade.Activity: Tourism is booming in Iceland and this tour actively encourages travelers to chat with local guesthouse owners and other travelers and to purchase local Icelandic produce, gifts and crafts.
UK office: It all starts at home so we have first worked at reducing our carbon footprint in our UK offices. Through energy conservation measures and recycling policies, we are proud to be actively reducing the waste produced and our impact on the environment. We support various projects all over the world to try and give something back to the places we visit.
People
Accommodation and meals: Our small group size allows us to stay in small family-run guesthouses in Hvolsvöllur and Höfn that cannot benefit from coach tours and other mass tourism due to their limited size.Community: Our local Icelandic Tour Leader will share insights into local customs and traditions and if you’re lucky, they may treat you to a rendition of popular folk songs.
Group size: This small group tour has a maximum of 12 participants, meaning that we have a low impact on the communities we visit and are able to ensure that we do not disrupt or lead to the displacement of local people as far as possible.
