Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

CARBON REDUCTIONMexico is often associated with large decadent hotels and luxury resorts which are often wasteful and disregard the commitment to reducing our carbon footprint. This doesn’t mean that you cannot find luxury but carbon ethical resorts. Las Nubes is a great example. They are committed to sustainability have implemented a range of measures including the sole use of solar energy and have built their hotel resort with eco-friendly materials locally sourced and produced, and are at present fully carbon neutral.
This tour also seeks to include as many non-motorised tours as possible, with a particular focus on the outdoors, tours include local kayaking, hiking, biking, hiking and snorkelling, guests are encouraged to get out and about locally and on foot to have minimal carbon impact. Consider the trip is over 3 weeks long the itinerary has minimised domestic flights with only three in total covering the 3,500 distance from the Pacific to the Caribbean Coast.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
The Sea of Cortez is one of the most complex and marine rich eco-systems on earth. The marine biodiversity and plethora of whales that pass through this region annually is mind blowing. Any trip to Baja includes a trip here where guests can marvel at swimming with whale sharks and getting up close and personal with blue and grey whales. All of guides are highly skilled and we ensure that we always respect the habitat and regulations of the area. Guests are given the best experience whilst also learning about these amazing creatures but ensuring minimal impact.
All fish served at hotels and restaurants we recommend is locally and sustainable resourced.

LOCAL ECONOMY90% of the guides we work with are Mexican and from the local communities giving a more authentic experience and ensuring that money spent with us is going directly back into the local economy.
We include tours through that visit local markets, artisanal fairs, home stays and collectives run by the local community. In Puebla for example we visit a locally run Talavera factory that produces tiles that have been made in this part of Mexico for centuries. It’s a family run business and following the tour which teaches all about the production and decoration of the tiles guests have the opportunity to purchase and even export tiles for their personal use.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Every employee we work with is paid above minimum wage, and equal opportunities are afforded to women. Our partners also have a comprehensive training programme that all employees have access to.
