Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

We drive to Banana village to visit the two Island Villages of Ricketts; located on the coast facing the Western Peninsula. Both Islands have a combined population of about 900, connected by a spit of sand that is underwater at high tide. A stone bridge connects the path between the two islands’. Our travelers learn about the culture and mingle with the villagers. We want to experience the local environment at it raw state hence we do not allow our travelers on the trip to leave the communities with any flora - all that they can take is photography.
As a practice of responsible travel, we also encourage our clients to be energy efficient users. All lighting systems in our overnight rooms has to be put off before departure as a measure of conserving energy. We give clients on this trip the opportunity to suggest innovative ways of conserving energy to our local accommodation providers as well.

On this tour, enjoy a drive through the Liberian countryside to visit the Bai T. Moore Village in Bomi County for a unique look into village life. Learn about the history and cultural heritage of one of Liberia’s most prominent writers Bai T. Moore, while listening to selected readings from his poetry and his most famous story, a Liberian Romeo and Juliet story, Murder in the Cassava Patch. Take a short tour of the village and enjoy an entertaining cultural performance. Also visit the Waterside Market, the booths of local artisans, African artifacts as well as the local Mandingo tailor shops to purchase already made Mandingo dresses and souvenirs. These local artisans earn their living from the proceeds of their products. They are therefore empowered economically when travelers buy these souvenirs.
Additionally, all the entrance fees paid on this trip go directly to the locals who are managers of these sites. This is therefore one of our ways of fighting poverty through tourism.
