1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

I think we were very lucky with the wildlife we saw which was amazing and helped by being such a small group.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Get accurate information about the accommodation, it’s type and exact location to make sure it’s acceptable to you and is value for money as our last night most definitely wasn’t.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Sadly I saw little evidence of this other than the work being done by the national parks themselves. We always seemed to stop for food where there were large foreign food outlets like KFC or Wimpy! So the profits would go abroad!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

You have a real issue with the accommodation provided at the end of the trip. When we got to Nata the cabins were great but we only had 45 minutes of free
time to enjoy the place. And then when we got to Shearwater in Victoria Falls with lots of free time you had booked us into tents pitched on concrete with a concrete wall behind in 38-40° heat! And there was barely a metre between each tent! The
washing facilities were the worst of the whole trip, completely unacceptable. It was really a young person’s village. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to get rooms in the hotel for which we should be reimbursed by you. Sadly it has left a bad memory which has coloured what otherwise was a great trip.

The brewery tour was not a tour at all! We were barely allowed to step inside and it lasted 15 minutes with the guide explaining how beer is made and that was it! No tour or offers of tastings!

Having said all that I cannot praise Soly, Gift and Enoch highly enough for the way they looked after us, a great team!

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your tour. We are sorry that some portions of your trip did not meet your expectations- we are currently taking a look into the negatives that you have highlighted for us (in hopes of making our tours in future better).
Stopping for food, often in remote places generally lends itself to be at a service station where larger and more well known restaurants can operate in lower seasons as well as high volume seasons respectively. When meals are not included travelers are encouraged to eat as they please and also with our leaders suggestions. We understand your concern for this, we ultimately always aim to have money back into local communities, but we cannot 100% facilitate this on such an itinerary.
We appreciate that you had some nice feedback as well, and are thrilled to hear that our staff was a positive for you during your adventure. Our team will reach out to your privately with the results of our investigation. Thank you again for your feedback.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

Through choosing to travel with us you are assisting local businesses, job creation, cultural development programs and various environmental groups. Some of the various projects we are proud to support are: The Rally to Read which invests in the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching of literacy skills in rural schools throughout South Africa, and the Chipgingale Wildlife Sanctuary based in Bulawayo Zimbabwe.

People

We believe strongly in low impact tourism and so during this trip we use existing locally owned facilities and camp ground such as the one used in Kruger National Park. By using locally owned and run facilities we are helping the local communities that we visit.
