Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

We provide travelers with reusable fabric tote bags. The tote bags are made locally in Israel, providing employment and income to the local community. By providing travelers with tote bags we avoid creating more single-use plastic waste. Our private vehicles have recycling bins on board that our drivers take to recycling stations to empty, ensuring that as little waste as possible makes it way to landfill. We recommend low carbon transport and make the journey as stimulating and sustainable as the stay. Where possible we choose to travel by land rather than air. By minimizing the use of flights on our trips, we are making journeys more stimulating and more sustainable for travelers. This trip through Israel and the Palestinian Territories does not include any flights, providing all transport by road. We ensure our vehicles are fuel-efficient and well maintained with regular servicing. We use vehicles that are an appropriate size to suit the group size. For example, we wouldn’t use a 16-seater van if we only had five people traveling with us. We optimize our driving routes to reduce travel time and our carbon footprint, and we turn the engine off when travelers are visiting a site and not in the vehicle.
People
The best folk to show you the heart of a destination are the ones that live there, which is why we work exclusively with local leaders. Our leaders are not only travel experts, they’re teachers, travel gurus and enthusiastic purveyors of grassroots experiences. They’ll just as easily steer you through the laneways of a city as help you strike up a conversation with the locals – and all with a smile. This trip through Israel and the Palestinian Territories also includes dedicated time to sit and have conversations with two local specialists who will share their experiences of living in this dynamic region from their unique perspectives. A home-cooked meal with a local family provides a further, delicious opportunity to learn about everyday life in Jerusalem. We have always been about balancing profit and purpose, and in 2018 this commitment was made official when we became a certified B Corp. This means we’re more dedicated and accountable than ever, to being better – in the ways that matter. Becoming a B Corp is not only our official pledge to be a responsible business, but also to use travel as a force for good in the world. We are very proud to work with a fellow B Corp, Mejdi Tours, who operate our trips in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Certified B Corps are companies that look after their staff, work toward a more inclusive supply chain, and take corporate social responsibility to the next level. Mejdi Tours showed their commitment to keeping their leaders in work, providing additional training to provide virtual tours during the pandemic. This ensured that they had the best opportunity to maintain their income while improving their future employability.
