Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
On this trip to Persia, we have partnered with suppliers and business owners who hold the same high levels when it comes to environmental practices. For example, we stay at hotels and guesthouses where owned, managed and run by locals and serving of local foods with zero transport miles, such as: Ateshooni guesthouse and Barandaz local house. They are built according to climate conditions; therefore, energy is optimally used for heating and cooling.
We attempt to reduce the use of single use plastic water bottles by providing water bottles and actively encourage our customers to use them. We do not leave any plastics, cans, bottles, bottle tops or cigarette ends behind.
We also encourage our guests to eat at local restaurants where local food is served which helps to reduce carbon where food transport is concerned.
On the trip, although some of the transfers are by car, we try to encourage walking tours of the cities and surrounding areas to keep our carbon footprints down. Actually, we schedule our itineraries day by day according to sites where are near to each others, It helps us to keep our carbon footprints down. Therefore, we have walking tours during city tours and bazaars.
At cultural sites we take care to minimize impact and inform our guests not to touch relics and fragile monuments so these are preserved for generations to come.

On this trip we include visits to the Tehran Bazaar - you have the opportunity to support local producers and artisans here by buying local produce from the stalls. In Kashan, we give you the chance to purchase some local rosewater - a speciality from the region, and sold by locals outside the Persian gardens. We also incorporate visits to local tea houses, hammans and shops - such as the historic bazaar of Kashan to further bolster the local economy.
The Qeisarieh Bazaar is also a wonderful place to support local artisans - with hundreds of local vendors that specialize in traditional arts and crafts, its a wonderful place to shop for pottery, enamel, jewelry and delicately inlaid board games.
