Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
As Golden Triangle and Ranthambore region is one of the most visited circuits of India, it is impacted by some of the perils of mass tourism in peak season – pollution, crowd, litter, traffic etc. We have made a detailed plan to make your tours sustainable. We have emission tested vehicles for the tours. These are as per government norms. Also, our vehicles are regularly serviced so that the fuel utilisation is efficient. This reduces carbon footprint
The guide association, Ministry of Tourism and our company constantly educate the guides and drivers to have proper social hygiene measure like reducing litter, utilization of garbage bins etc. We also ask them to educate the guests who tend to litter during the tour.
In Ranthambore National Park, we use local vendors who are TOFT approved. These approved agencies focus on conservation and environment. Their main goal is to have tourism and environment to go hand-in-hand. A certain proceed of the tours goes toward conservation and local villagers community activities.
People
The hotels selected by us are socially responsible organizations. One of our recommended hotels in Ranthambore named Khem Vilas has executed projects pertaining to healthcare, education, afforestation, dairy development and alternate employment for the locals. There are hotels like Oberoi, Taj and Samode who offer employment to local communities – this is both in terms of permanent and indirect employment. We have included village tours like Kachpura tour in Agra where you visit a local family and a village near Agra, learn about local culture and see beautiful views of Taj Mahal from there. Such tours are an example of community tourism where the proceeds of tour are given to local society and Mughal Heritage Foundation.
Although the guides are freelancers in India, we offer them frequent training and feedback so that they can empower themselves to offer better services for future tours. Our drivers too are given necessary allowances so that they are more relaxed during the tour. We employ local guides to offer them employment - In Ranthambore as well, the forest guides are locally sourced.
There are many foundations that work in Jaipur and Delhi like Mother Teresa Foundation, Anokhi, CRY etc. We can arrange a visit to these foundation for guests who wish to volunteer or donate.
