Be prepared to book a restaurant in Bushmills as soon as you arrive. There was only one open and people were turned away.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. We chose local products and cafes. Not chains.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Firstly we must thank you for recommending this tour operator as they were helpful; and well organised. The vacation went well, our trip started in Belfast where we enjoyed the City and in particular the open top bus tour and Titanic Museum. We were made welcome wherever we went in both Belfast and the Antrim Coast. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and we strongly recommend this vacation. We would mention that day two was intended to be approx 10 miles however we actually covered 16 miles due to a footpath closure caused by a land slip on the Giants Causeway. 1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
As a first time visitor to Ireland and the North all my experiences were novel. The walks in a variety of terrains were terrific and at the end of each day we had another excellent example of Irish/English B&B/Pub accommodation to look forward to. The most memorable day was the walk from Bushmills to and along the Causeway coast concluding at Ballintoy, - spectacular scenery with unique coastal formations and the remains of the MacDonell castle to explore as well. Waking on Rathlin Island and the visit to the West Light Seabird Centre was also a highlight.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Ensure that you have comfortable walking boots and that you always carry wet weather gear, - as the weather changes quickly. Try and save some energy during the day so you can indulge in some of the wonderful local pub nightlife!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Our impact, as walkers, on the environment was minimal, and all our accommodation and food was sourced from local providers. Collectively our presence in the local towns as visitors helped reinforce the notion with the locals that their locality was special and well worth looking after.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The day we walked from the Causeway Hotel (fabulous - worth the upgrade) to Ballintoy, when we were nearly blown off the cliff face in a howling gale and being completely on our own, it was a rather frightening experience. However when we could, we marvelled at the spectacular scenery. Also coming from west to east, we had no idea of the tides and as we dropped to sea level, also walking along the rocks towards the beach (which can only be walked at low tide), it was apparent that the tide was coming in and that also was a bit scary as progress was slow due to the wet and slippery rocks, until we finally reached a group of houses and a road which took us up to the main road.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Know the tides and just enjoy it all. It was wonderful. I guess it was a shame the last day to Ballycastle we had to walk most of the day on the main road, but appreciate there was no alternative. As we were transferred to Portrush in the morning, when we arrived, we set off for Portstewart which we were glad we did. I guess our transfer could have dropped us there and we could have had more time exploring there before walking to Portrush later in the day.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Not really as since we had weight constraints, couldn't help the local economy by purchasing very much - obviously unavoidable.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was nice talking to people and on the ferry to Rathlin Island we enjoyed some conversation with a couple from Belfast who actually solved a problem I had had with my new iPad! I was thrilled. Accommodation was fine and our hosts friendly and helpful and breakfasts very good.Holiday Reviews
