1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Overall everything exceeded our expectations in every way. We loved Khiva and Bukhara and enjoyed wandering at will in both cities. We were most impressed with the cleanliness of the cities and the efficiency of the trains. The new fast train from Bukhara to Samarkand was far better than LNER or even Eurostar! We so enjoyed the friendliness of the Uzbek people and felt totally safe at all times.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Travel in a very small group (we were 2 and it was perfect). Pack very little. Have plenty of space in your luggage for your purchases!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Once we had arrived we travelled by car or train. We did not take internal flights.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Up there with the most interesting and stimulating - and generally the best vacation either of us has ever had. Uzbekistan is a wonderful country.Lynda O review 17 May 2023
