Lots of walking involved so need to take walking poles for the uneven terrain and loose shale. The nights are cold in the desert so good idea to take your own sleeping bag, as the ones provided are a little thin3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Local guides and drivers used, small plastic bottles used for water and no way to recycle them.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I have never said this before, but the entire trip was both memorable and exciting! I felt I experienced the real Kazakhstan - from the people to the landscape to the culture.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be prepared by having good walking shoes and be open to trying a wide array of foods that we don't normally have in Western culture.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
