1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Our trip took in 5 different areas of South Africa and every single part of it was unforgettable. We spent 3 nights in the northern Drakensburg, 3 nights in The Battlefields and 3 nights on safari in Thanda, KwaZulu Natal. Then went on to 3 nights in Cape Town and 2 nights in Hermanus. Every single aspect of the vacation was memorable: the scenery, people, wildlife, food, wine.....I could go on.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

The vacation will be planned entirely around your likes and preferences, so think carefully about what you want to get out if your trip. Then take advice from the experts at the vacation providers, they really do know the country and will know what's feasible/best within your timescales and budget. Other providers may be slightly cheaper, but we were so thankful for their expertise and pro-active customer service.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All the hotels/guesthouses used were locally owned and investments were being made in projects to support their communities - education, health and conservation. There was a high level of concern for the environment (Soth Africa has been suffering an extended drought) and green energy sources.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

A-MAZ-ING in every single aspect!! Also, our youngest son broke his ankle one week before we flew. This was no problem for Anna at the vacation provider, who arranged wheelchair assistance with the airlines and contacted the guesthouses to request rooms on the ground floor or close to communal areas, as applicable. So special thanks are in order.
