1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Climbing Stromboli at night to watch the volcano erupt into the dark night sky and the see the hot lava tumble down into the sea.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
to see the best sights you need to be fit. Walking uphill on volcanic ash isn't easy! Good boots essential.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
we stayed in small hotels and had most of our meals in local restaurants. Our guide was a local expert on the volcanic area.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
A great introduction to vulcanology and a good mix of strenuous exercise, gentle swimming , boat trips, and delicious food. Excellent all round, but too short!Christine Lattey review 20 Apr 2015

This vacation included four days on Lipari in a town called Canetto. Unfortunately, In April Canetto had not yet opened for the summer; my room was so cold I slept in my long underwear; and there is not much hiking on Lipari. The rest of the vacation was greatHazel Geatches review 28 May 2014

The optional trip on Etna was very interesting, even though we couldn't get to the top - trip notes need to be updated. Stromboli would have been great if it hadn't been cloudy!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
