Reviews for Dubrovnik to Hvar sailing vacation
Brett Imlay review 9 Oct 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
So many: sailing on a small group yacht, beautiful scenery, daily activities including e-bikes for first time, well organised, good crew and relaxed.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Travel light, keep an open mind, try new experiences.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We ate at local restaurants, crew were local (Croatian), walked, swam, cycled, sailed. Small groups have distinctly less impact on small local villages than larger boats. Minimal use of water on yacht.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Perfect for the limited time we had. Relaxing, interesting and lots of activity - or plenty of time to do nothing, as we chose.Lucy Roberts review 27 Jul 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Many amazing experiences we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Highlights would be cycle tour, hidden bays, traditional dinner with locals, sailing through the windsurfers.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Single cabin occupancy for teens.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Somewhat examples include the environmental levy (would of been nice to understand how this is being invested) electric bikes on mijet, local dinner. Would have been great to sail more than motor but very weather dependent.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
A brilliant experience with teenagers. Just enough adventure. Our Skipper and Guide (Daniel and Tijana) were amazing. Really set the tone for the vacation, fun but relaxing. Thoroughly recommend. Croatia is a lovely country to sail, we will be back.Debbie Shuttlewood review 18 Aug 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Just sailing out at sea away from the crowds. Also meeting new people who were also traveling on the boat2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Just enjoy, be chilled and relaxed3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Have to be honest. Not really. Croatia was so expensive though am sure someone benefitted!4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was good. Accommodating for our kids, nice mix of people, more adventure would have been good. There was no kayaking! Daniel and Diana were good and looked after us well.Read the operator's response here:
Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed the tour. The way our tours benefit locals, reduce environmental impact and support conservation are:
- eating in local and locally owned restaurants
- using small, authentic, locally owned accommodations (on tours where they are used)
- small groups have much less impact on local communities than large groups of tourists
- activities we promote are human powered and we try to use wind power if and when possible.
We will, of course, do our best to continue improving in these areas.
