Be aware of the size, slow speed and therefore considerable time it takes to travel around parts of Mexico!!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The beautiful ruins & the lovely welcoming people. Our tour guide Juan Carlos was great & his apprentice Rene was also very good.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Brilliant overall except they don't seem to cater very well for vegetarians. I ate more pasta as the vegetarian Mexican food was not filling. Also breakfast was expensive, I paid £4 for a few slices of toast & green tea. Remember to give yourself some time to sit and watch and think. There is so much to do that sometimes I found it necessary to opt out of the adventurous stuff and just wander around.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I hope so. Mexico appears to be a country of very many parts so the local people need help. Our guide was brilliant and encouraged us to listen to and buy from street sellers and explained why they were working as they did, how they lived and how we might be able to help.4. The hubbub of Mexico City and all the sights and museums within (we could only sample a few, regretfully!); and the laid back charm of San Cristobal with its streets, processions and central plaza activities.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
- Be ready for temperature variations - from cold/nippy to warm/hot! - For vegetarians, be ready for limited eating options; - for those who haven't had Mescal in the past, don't be worried - it tastes great, as do the salted and fried crickets served along side! - for all, most mobile phone cameras are inadequate to capture the majesty of the various archeological sites and wonders you will see.3. Yes, there is a benefit to the local economy - but I'm not sure about other aspects.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
