1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

All the places we went to were amazing in their own tight. The most disappointing was the museum of the Dead Sea scrolls where only a paper copy was on view, no translation snd nothing else to see.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Jordan is a very relaxed easy going country with wonderful people so dress code like uk. Holy places in Israel need to cover up. Both countries very expensive.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

No not at all, little evidence of conservation as everywhere we went in both countries, the huge amounts of plastic everywhere in urban and rural areas was overwhelming. Really spoilt which was once prestige countries.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent as all guides and drivers were excellent.

Read the operator's response here:

We appreciate your comments about the guides – our local partners always employ local Jordanian guides and despite the difficulty of re-training and retaining excellent hospitality staff in the aftermath of the pandemic, we are always reassured that our guides are friendly, warm, and accommodating, which I trust allows for a good conversational exchange and cultural appreciation. Unfortunately, the Gulf countries are still lacking in terms of waste management and recycling facilities so as plastic use increases all over the world, they are still not adequately equipped on a national level to cope with the disposal. We remain committed to working with our hotel and operational partners to make changes and reduce the personal impact of our visiting guests where possible.

Benefited local people, especially in Jordan (Petra, Wadi Rum), and in Bethlehem

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Amazing vacation and fantastic experience. We would recommend to everyone, calling out that - as expected - there may be tensions in Israel

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Truth be told, almost every moment was a memorable moment. It's difficult to choose one. Jerash in Jordan was a surprise. More Roman ruins than I saw in Italy. Petra Kitchen was a lot of fun and now I can prepare what I learned and feel like I'm back in Jordan. Dinner at Fauzi Azar Inn - best meals we had on the tour and we had really good meals. Singing and dancing at Bedouin Camp was great too! I really can't choose one, sorry.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Petra By Night can be skipped. Spend more than three hours in Petra.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, I do. We stayed in mainly locally-owned accommodations and shopped at local establishments and co-operatives including the store located on the premises of the Madaba School of Mosaics and Petra Kitchen. Tourism is down in Jordan by about 40%, I was told, so I think my group of 10 made a difference.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I would rate it a 9 out of 10
