1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The white water rafting and the sea kayaking were the most memorable parts of the vacation.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don't go at the hottest time of the year, unless your okay with heat.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I could see how our presence could benefit the local people, as any form of tourism would do. I don't see how it could reduce or increase any environmental impact as I don't believe in man made climate change. (You did ask). If you're referring to CO2 emissions, and plastic waste, we could travel by a sailing boat instead of a plane, and drink natural source water from a filter bottle instead of plastic bottles.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was a very well organised trip and very enjoyable for all the family, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any family with children from the age of 10 and up, any younger and some of the activities might be a little too challenging.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The surprise birthday party at the river that Dimitris, our guide, organised for my kids.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

We went in July/August, when is was very, very hot. The hotel in Tripolis is far from the sea, and the local pool is Tripolis has shut down some years ago. There's a hotel about 10 minutes drive away that has a pool, for which we got tickets and were able to use at one particularly hot afternoon when no programme was organised. You'll need a car / taxi to get there. There isn't much of a programme - other than the transfer and drop off at the beach - for the last two days in Nafplio. The family room at the hotel in Nafplio is only practical with young kids; the adjacent room is tiny and the beds not comfortable for anyone older than 10.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

No, this wasn't apparent. We used the petrol minibus every day. We used plastic water bottles.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was a great experience. Our guide, Dimitris, was amazing. He knows all and everything about his country, is kind and just how you'd want your guide to be.

Dear Karin, thank you for your nice review regarding our Family Activity Vacations in Greece. Although this vacations does include driving around, this is inevitable so you are able to visit all those beautiful places of Peloponnese. However, all the activities we do are environmental friendly (cycling, hiking, sea kayaking etc) and the local community benefits the most from this trip. Our company is local, all our guides and employees are locals and we use small local hotels for your accommodation. On top of that, all guests receive guidelines about responsible travel and ways to reduce impact in the area.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We enjoyed all of the activities, but probably the White Water rafting was our narrow favourite. That said, the very best part of the vacation was the attitude of the local people, guides and activity leaders. Everybody just seemed pleased that we were there and wanted us to have the very best experience which is such a change from the normal mass tourism locations

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Tripoli as a base for the activities appears a bit run down at first, but if you take the short walk to the main squares they are beautiful with lots of really good restaurants and bars

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This was probably one of the best family vacations we have taken in years. It felt so fantastically un-commercialised and we got a real insight into Greek life and the local people were genuinely welcoming because they wanted to show you their community

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Hard to pick one memorable moment. It was all fantastic. The activities were well organised; run by knowledgeable, enthusiastic and great fun guides. The hotels were in great locations; comfortable; well equipped; clean and served a good breakfast. The guides were friendly, highly knowledgable and couldn’t have done anything more to make this a brilliant vacation! Our main guide Fotis was excellent and made this a vacation to remember! He was well supported by Demetris who made a marvellous picnic.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Make sure you have some sea shoes or light weight trainers you can get wet. Beaches are mainly stony or rocky and you’ll need them for the rafting. Also, be prepared for a car journey each day…..most the activities (apart from the cycling) are 45 mins to an hour away. Plenty of beautiful scenery to see on the way, but take stuff to entertain kids!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely helped local people. Unlike nafpoli, kalamata and astros, Tripoli isn’t a tourist town so you really feel you’re seeing the real Greece and shopping in local shops and eating in local restaurants.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent. It was all good. I really couldn’t fault it. I went with my two girls 14 and 11 who both had a great time. We shared the vacation with another family who were like minded and good company and whilst you see each other every day for the activities, you still get plenty of time to spend just on your own.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

It was one of the most fantastic vacations we've had, it was well organised, the activities were nicely paced and the tour guides were relaxed, efficient and just lovely! All of the families in the group got on really well and we're even planning a future meetup.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

There was a lot of activities involving rocky shores and I wish all of us had brought old shoes to wear in the water or water suitable footwear.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Tripoli and the surrounding areas had very little visible tourism and eating out and purchasing in local spots was much appreciated.

Superb.
