1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Everything! I really enjoyed visiting all the sites, meeting locals, and even driving through the country and being able to see the Iranian countryside. The food was amazing. I am vegetarian and found the options just as plentiful and wonderful. Our guide, Ara, was very knowledgeable, caring, and most importantly, passionate and proud of Iran, and that heavily influenced our experience.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Perhaps consider bringing small gifts/trinkets from their home countries to give to locals. We found locals that we met so generous and warm; it would have been nice if we hadn't arrived empty-handed. Had I known (better), I would have brought some things from home to share and give as gifts when entering local Iranian homes.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes and no. Yes, I do believe it benefitted local people, and I am very glad with that. No because I was acutely aware of the waste we were generating, which I understand at the same time is unavoidable. For example, we had ample water supply... in the form of plastic bottles. I'm not sure what the solution is or how to overcome this. Another example, all the (excellent and splendid!) hotels we stayed at used small plastic bottles for their bathroom amenities. Again, I understand this is "how it is"... perhaps travelers can be encouraged to bring their own?...and am not sure what the best practice is for overcoming this.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent! The operator was excellent. Their service from start to finish was the best. My father had some passport issues, and they immediately assisted however they could. I feel very fortunate to have gone to Iran.Holiday Reviews
