1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
I loved being in the old towns of the Baltic capitols and the forested countryside. Learning how the Baltics have survived centuries of conquerors is incredible. Being in this region during Putin’s war in Ukraine and witnessing the solidarity the Baltic people toward Ukraine was humbling and thrilling at the same time. I learned so much more about the tortured subjugation of the people of this region by Germany and Russian, invaluable lessons about the preciousness of freedom.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Bring layers, scarves, hats, raincoat, gloves, umbrella. The weather can swing variably.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes to benefiting local people. Not sure about benefiting the environment or supporting conservation.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
The local guides were terrific. I appreciated their passion, knowledge and kindness. They were very tuned into the needs of us as travelers. A couple of criticisms: 1-Hotel Euterpe in Klaipeda is subpar. The duvets and sheets were too small for the beds! 2-The trip to Palanga departed at 9AM with an arrival there at 9:30. We had to kill an hour and half before the Amber Museum opened at 11. We walked along a boardwalk where shops were not yet opened toward the beach and back again. The museum itself was ok, but redundant considering we had already been to the workshop of a master amber smith. I would rather have used that morning in Vilnius.Charles Morgan review 19 Sep 2022

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Visiting the old town of Tallinn, the Art Nouveau buildings in Riga, and the Curonian Spit, had it not been raining most of the day!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Do pack for any type of weather. We had 2 days of rain - 1 was mainly traveling so did not matter too much, but the other day was mostly outside, and was rather spoilt by the rain. The rest of the time was mostly warm & sunny.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
To a certain extent, but of course, visiting the capitals of 4 countries, is not likely to benefit 'locals' too much. I suppose in between the capitals, we did as much as was feasible.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Really marvellous - excellent. Could not understand why only 6 of us on this trip, when the max number was stated to be 12! I'm afraid lounging on a beach in the sun is not 'my cup of tea', as I imagine that is where the 'other' Brits had gone! We appreciated the booked lunches at some of the places we visited, and also the packed lunches provided by hotels when we weren't in the cities. Of course. It was very interesting the visit at a small and familiar factory of smoked fish. There we had a very very good meal.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
