1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Seeing some of the geological wonders of Iceland. The visit to Heimaey was just one of the highlights but we rank it at the top.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
As we did not have the time (nor the money) to visit the entire country and all of its many museums we decided to visit the Perlan in Reykjavik. Highly recommended and totally worth the cost of the entry ticket. You also may get beautiful views of the city as it is located on a hilltop but this is weather dependent.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. We always make an effort to support local businesses. For those interested in natural (plant) dyeing of wools, we highly recommend a visit to the Hespa near Selfoss.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The hot spring area, lava exhibition, Seljalandsfoss waterfall (and nearby other waterfall) were all highlights. We also enjoyed one day walking round Reykjavik. The meal at The Lighthouse Inn was superb.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
One day in Reykjavik exploring is very worthwhile, but sufficient, unless you are interested in the museums. Check out the availability of places to buy food before you travel as it is not always easy to find. Be prepared to pay even more than you think you will for food and drink.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Only in as much as it supported their tourist industry.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
