1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The entire experience was memorable, from the new friends I met from all over the world, to the team at the house. Benoit, Ali, Myriam and chef Noelle made everything about the stay a week to remember. As well, the beautiful setting and town of Saint-Jeannet was very special. Yoga each day in this hidden gem was a treat, hiking and swimming, connecting with people and sharing stories over great meals. Wandering the beautiful town, all truly memorable moments.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Just do it! You will have a fabulous time. There were no rooms left at the house so I stayed with a local person. It made my week even more special and my host was warm, generous and I loved staying with her.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The entire team at the house live in Saint-Jeannet along with the locally sourced food and wine served. The eco-system all works together to keep everything local.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Extra special! I went to celebrate a milestone birthday and everything exceeded my expectations.

thank you Traci for your very nice feedback ^^ only wanted to mentioned that it was exceptional that 2 of our guests staid in a Villa, a bit further than normal, as all our external accommodation, usually within 3mns distance from the FrogS House, had been already booked, and these 2 guests couldn't come another week...I hope they still got a lot of other benefits from the retreat though ^^ I hope you will enjoy the rest of your trip in europe, and that we'll get the chance to see you again another time, to share your very positive energy with us ! all the best Benoit, and the all frogs team

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

For me, the days we spent walking in nature, swimming in gorges and enjoying picnics together on the banks were blissful.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Remain open minded. The hosts make you feel welcome and at home and Benoit tries his best to ensure that everything is done to ensure that people feel comfortable to take part in all activities, so if you are able to, I'd say give everything a go. The Non Violent communication sessions are particularly eye-opening experiences.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely! The produce that is consumed is bought from local suppliers, neighbours house extra guests who can't be housed in the B&B and we were even lucky enough to get to know the community a little better and enjoy an evening of dancing with the locals for the celebrations for Bastille day.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Relaxing, rejuvenating, fun, full of new learning experiences and a beautiful place. I cannot rate it highly enough.

The village was extraordinary. The yoga was marvelous. Benoit and all his team were amazing. Our night preparing dinner with chef Noel was a lot of fun.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

It’s a bit robust in terms of the two hike days.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It did all three.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I would recommend this yoga retreat to anyone who wants to spend time in a beautiful medieval village with stunning views, practicing yoga with different yogi, have a massage and eat delicious fresh vegetarian foods. A great week. So happy to have been there.

This is a fantastic retreat! It offers so much richness. The FrogsHouse is a wonderful place to stay based in a stunning town with mountain and sea views. It provides a transformative opportunity to relax, restore, rediscover and as well as laugh and have fun.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Discovering the beautiful French landscape and the river swimming. Or the amazing feeling the whole experience gives you

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Embrace the experience - its one of a kind, the people, the ambience, the countryside and especially the holistic programme and delicious food they provide you. Go with it and you will have a vacation of a lifetime! I can't wait to go back

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The vacation very much benefits the local people as we went to local restaurants, and used local yoga instructors - the chef used local organic produce They pay attention to waste and the environment - and want people to enjoy and conserve the area

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Words can't describe how much I enjoyed this vacation - one of the best of my life. What the team have created is really special, magical even. Its unique, friendly, warm, educational and just brilliant. The retreat is an absolute gem and I want to give it as many stars as I possibly can - it deserves it.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Hiking up the Baou de St Jeannet after yoga on our first full day. Making new friends, breathing in beautiful air and trying to stop gasping as one beautiful view after another unfolded. We were all carrying parts of a delicious picnic lunch in our rucksacks, and sharing this lunch after a challenging (but very doable) climb, in such a beautiful place with such interesting, fun and pleasant company is something I will remember for a very long time.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Pack comfortable suitable clothes for the yoga, and some comfortable walking shoes. You probably won't need to bring a book - there is always so much to do and great company to keep!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The tour operator is very committed to reducing environmental impact. Local produce is actively sought. Veganism (lowering impact on climate change by, for example, lessening the CO2 emissions of animal agriculture) is part of normal every day life, though the team will get you non vegan food if you would like. But everyone loved the food! Breakfast with yogurt, muesli, plentiful fruit, nuts, jams and nut butters was the norm. If you wanted to leave St Jeannet to explore further afield, buses from the village were regular. There is a good public transport network and no need really to use a car. And the organic wine came from a vineyard 25 minutes walk away!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

We swam in wild water, we cooked a meal together under the guidance of a professional chef, we had fun as well as, of course, the highest quality of yoga teachers. I sensed we developed a great support network for each other. Our hosts - Benoit, Pili, Claudia and Ali could not have been more warm, welcoming, kind and helpful. I loved every single minute of my vacation I cannot think how it could possibly have been improved.

review 11 Oct 2022

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The sheer beauty of the location and the generous spirit of the team.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

It's an intimate and personal experience. Be open to sharing.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All the products and food prepared are sustainable, local and organic - so yes!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Highly recommended if you are in need of a break from the "busyness" of life and to create space in your mind, heart and body to just be. The accommodation is located in the remarkably beautiful village of Saint Jeannet, with the stunning About de Saint Jeannet as your constant backdrop and perspective-giver. Daily meditative yoga helps you to find calm in your body and mind. Hikes in the village and hillsides help connect you with fellow guests as well as nature. The lodging is simple and comfortable; the food all organic, vegan, locally sourced and/or homemade. I recommend the nut butters and the "orange de mer" jam! But I have to say the greatest gift is actually its staff - aka the Frogs. Benoit, Claudia, Ali & Pily are the best of humans. Not just hosts/staff, they are generous, kind and easy to be with. Together we learned, philosophised, shared, and laughed so very much. Ultimately, I found a way to release emotions I had pushed down, calm my always chatty mind, and to learn to speak kindly to my body. I can't wait go back. Thank you!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, very much so. Lots of interaction with local providers and some precious ecosystems.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Much, much more than a vacation. The tour operator provides something special in such a beautiful place. Loved being in France in St Jeannet with Benoit and his team.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The fabulous village of Saint Jeannet - a perfect place for a yoga retreat; the hikes to the rivers and up Baud de Saint Jeannet; the amazing vegan/veggie food

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Think about the type of yoga you want to do; this retreat is more focussed on slow flow and meditation which was great but if you are looking for a more dynamic/vinyasa practice then this may not be for you.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

A wonderful nourishment for the mind, body and soul!

review 16 Aug 2019

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

My arrival may not have been the most exciting part of my time here, but it seems the experience to note here as it was indicative of what I experienced the whole of my time there. I wasn't sure when I would arrive but was advised, ahead of time, that there would be access to the house and instructions would be left for me if there wasn't someone there to greet me. I could hear voices and laughter coming through an open window, above the door. It took a few knocks before someone answered. I was let in and directly led to a kitchen filled with people of all ages chopping vegetables and stirring steaming pots and sizzling pans. I had arrived during a cooking class with the chef who had everyone engaged and joyful in the making of what turned out to be a fantastic feast served later that evening. There was no question of worrying about my luggage in the landing or finding my room. I was given a task to do and immersed into the action as if I'd been expected all along and was meant to join the party. And so went the rest of the visit. Guest came and went from the house but somehow, an ethos of inclusion and consideration has been created to allow for gentle transitions and meaningful commaraderie. This is a special place.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Take the bus! The trip up the "mountain" is so much fun and takes very little effort.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely. Food was locally sourced, people from the area were engaged offering services and fellowship, we were encouraged to explore and support local businesses, especially restaurants, and protocols for recycling, composting and respecting the environment were clearly and easily supported.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This was an excellent experience. I went as a single person, thinking that I would experience some social elements but would largely find myself on my own for much of it. I would have been respected for wanting to be solitary too, but the people, the yoga and the day programs were just so engaging...the atmosphere so inviting and inclusive, I just allowed myself to relax into the lovely, warm rhythm of the place, and I'm so glad I did.

review 15 Aug 2019

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The people we met and the fantastic planned activities. The yoga was some of the best sessions I have attended and really made the week find a pleasant rhythm.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Be open to meeting people from many different countries, bring good walking shoes, try the yoga - it is not hard and very enjoyable ( no special clothes or skills required). Explore the village and surrounding area there is a lot to see and do.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely. The operation was focused on the local scene and the local people. The village residents were very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was open for guests and the system of recycling, composting, and food sources were well thought out and delicious.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent! Everything was perfect but mostly the people we met were fantastic. The operators Corrine and Benoit were fantastic hosts and the left no detail unattended.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

I cannot compliment the food enough! Each morning a delicious breakfast home made! The picnics provided had a great variety and were scrumptious ! the nicest cheese and home made breads I ever tasted!

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

If you decide to go hiking, bring good walking boots/shoes. A backpack is provided, so no need to worry about what bag you should take for the hike. There is a transfer provided for an extra cost, however it is very easy and cheap (€1.50) to take the local bus

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The village is small. 4 restaurants, 1 butcher, local shop and a bar. We ate out twice and used the local butcher. So yes, we supported the local business.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent! Both Benoit and Corine, who were our hosts, made the vacation very special

review 31 May 2019

review 14 Jul 2018

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

It's hard to single out one thing - Benoit and Corrine are gifted and welcoming hosts. The folks that live in St. Jeannet are welcoming and kind. The excursions are beautiful and informative, Benoit is an incredible story teller. The yoga is centering and geared towards all levels, the Sunday morning yoga on the mountain was a a breathtaking experience. If I were to pick one particular moment as most memorable it would have to be being in France, mingling with the locals at the neighborhood restaurant and watching France beat Belgium to make the World Cup finals - Oh the joy, Vive La France!

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring really good hiking shoes and if you don't hike regularly get some time in before you go. The walks and hikes can be quite steep although Benoit is an expert at balancing all skill levels and making everyone feel comfortable.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes - we supported the local economy by eating at the local restaurants and utilizing the local merchants to purchase food and supplies. You can clearly see the effort made by the house to support the environment and be green.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was a truly wonderful experience, I would highly recommend vacationing at This accommodation. Although we were busy every moment (by choice, the schedule can be as relaxed or as busy as you would like it to be) I came back from my time in St. Jeannet completely relaxed and well rested. I can' t wait to go back.

review 12 Jul 2018

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Visiting all the historic towns in the area - fabulous to go back to some I hadn't been to for 25 years and explore new ones like Antibes.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Good walking shoes! Take a yoga class or 2! And book a room with a terrace - the views are wonderful and it's a lovely place to sit at the end of the day.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Ate at local restaurants, shopped in the small town of St.Jeannet, and the house is certainly the antithesis of a wasteful hotel chain!

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

A lovely B&B in a small village run by 2 wonderful people who will do everything to make your stay special and memorable. Plus, the added attraction of local excursions to the beautiful countryside - where Benoit grew up and knows the area well. It's paradise there...

review 3 Sep 2017

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Benoit and Corrine were the most amazing hosts. They are always making sure their guests are happy and satisfied. The house is lovely. I recommend the top floor balcony room. The views of sunrise and sunset along the Alps Maritimes and the Côte D"azur are awe inspiring. Most memorable were a river walk guided by Benoit and swimming in a gorgeous natural pool of water at the end of the hike. Also memorable were the cooking lesson with Corrine and the gourmet lunches she prepared for our hikes.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring really great and comfortable hiking boots. Shop at the village grocer, baker and join other guests in making meals some nights. You have kitchen privileges . The house is essentially yours in the common areas. You can eat dinner outside and watch the stars and moon.Add a bottle of local wine and you are in heaven.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely. Corrine recycles and composts.. I was delighted to make a local vegetable soup with her as well as cheese pate. All from local markets.I ate all the gorgeous fruits and vegetables and cheeses that were local products. The two local wineries are supported by the guests of the house as well as the cheese farm. Everything is fresh and natural!!! I also supported 3 of the 4 local restaurants. There is a wonderful pizzeria where pizzas are made to order and amazing outdoor cafes...one with excellent local dishes and wine and another with a terrace overlooking the natural beauty of the hillside.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent. Amazing. Five star. Relaxing. Exciting. An intimate view into the lives of the St.. Jeannett villagers who sustain the beauty and natural resources of this 1000 year old medieval village.

review 24 Jun 2017

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Doing different activities everyday with the wonderful hosts Corinne and Benoit. Relaxing in the village of St Jeannet and soaking up the ambience.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Stay for more than two days and do a hike up to the Baou and do some cooking.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes it was easy to see how it supported the local economy with less impact than a more formal tour and an emphasis on convservation of the environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Awesome experience and as a solo traveler I felt very looked after and included.

Read the operator's response here:

Hello Helen :) ! review 29 May 2017

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The entire week at St. Jeannet was memorable! Loved each of Benoit's daily activities including his informative, detailed, and interesting commentaries! He is an amazing tour guide, and both he and Corinne are warm and welcoming. Corrine's generous and delicious breakfasts and picnic lunches on two of the days, always made with fresh and local ingredients, as well as her instructive cooking day and our yummy results, were all equally amazing. The village and its people are wonderful, such a beautiful area close enough to have gorgeous views of Nice and the coastline yet tucked away so as to be peaceful and quiet. We felt as if we had gone back to a simpler time and place. Meeting and getting to know other guests at the house was also a definite plus. The pace was easy, flexible, and relaxing.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

1. Be aware that this is a very small village and that the number of restaurants is limited. When we were there (early May), there were four, (all excellent), but not all of them open every night (one night there was only one open), and they do not open until 7 PM. Guests are invited to use the kitchen, but know ahead that the few places to purchase cooking supplies are usually close mid-afternoon, so if you are away on a day-long activity, you may not have access to supplies when you return. Best advice is to clarify with Benoit or Corinne what your choices will be each day. 2. The daily activities are hard to pass up, but my traveling companion did take one day to just relax and explore the village and hiking trails which are easily accessible and well marked. 3. Benoit invites guests to join in on the yoga classes he teaches in the village and he is a wonderful, gentle teacher. However, silly me, it did not occur to me until I was setting down my mat that he would be teaching it in French... of course!! He was very gracious and helped me through with an English word or phrase thrown in now and then! But don't hesitate, the class is very relaxing and it is doubly interesting to join the villagers who take this in. 4. Benoit is quick to email responses to questions prior to the trip. We began our planning nearly nine months before our trip, and had many inquiries. Benoit's every response was speedy, pleasant, and helpful.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

As mentioned, this is a small village, so anything we purchased helped the local economy. There is a local wine, local goat cheese, bread from the bakery, and other fresh produce which Corinne uses in the meals served (oh, and don't miss her home made yogurt... !). Our excursions took us to some of the nearby villages, a local winery and a goat farm, and other locations where we leaned about the people and the area and of course made purchases. And it is clear from conversations and observation (recycling and composting in the kitchen) that Benoit and Corinne are environmentally concerned and responsible. They live locally, and are very proud of this area.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The best I can say is that we did not want to leave. The area, the people, the beauty, the food, the relaxing pace (activities did not start before 10 AM... no jumping out of bed and rushing to catch a bus!), and most important, Benoit and Corinne, all served to make the week at Frogs' House and St. Jeanette one of my most favourite travel experiences.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don't take too many clothes, relax & enjoy the experience

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes very much. These small villages need the right balance of tourism to keep going.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was FABULOUS

review 17 Jul 2016

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The peaceful, unspoilt village with spectacular views. The friendliness and warmth of our hosts, their local knowledge and their pride in their local area.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Choose a room with a balcony, preferably second floor, as the views are beautiful. Choose the activities as part of your package. You get a wonderful overview of the local area. The hiking day is great fun, but make sure you have suitable shoes and are relatively fit so you really enjoy it.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, it is obvious that the hosts are environmentally aware and take care.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Busy, but great fun. You can choose as many or as few activities as you like. Take an extra day to wind-down and just explore the village as the Monday- Friday activities are great fun but full-on. If you like more physically challenging activities then perhaps ask about weekend activities.

Read the operator's response here:

Thank you Kay for your very nice comment !!! Yes you are correct about the walking day, but mainly for July and August that take us to the canyon and the local waterfall, the rest of the year the walk is far less "technical" ;) I hope you will enjoy the rest of your trip in Lyon and Paris :) !!! all the best to you two, take good care Benoit et Corinne
