The most memorable part of the vacation was experiencing the cast and varies landscape of Iceland.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Yes, the hotels and restaurants utilized were are locally-owned and used local ingredients.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Overall it seems like your adventure was a success- we appreciate your understanding of nature and how unpredictable it can be. This winter season has been unusually turbulent in Iceland, and we hope that if and when you revisit you will get to see the full beauty of this special season. As for the driving, you hit the nail on the head. The remote areas of Iceland- while incredible- does not have the infrastructure for visitors to explore more responsibly. It emphasized the need to respect our planet Earth. It made me very aware of the impact climate change has on it4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The whole vacation exceeded our expectations and so difficult to identify just one memorable event. The scenery everywhere we went, the amazing waterfalls, the swim in naturally hot water, the ice cave in the glacier and the ice blocks on the beach and floating in the lagoon catching the oranges and pinks of the setting sun.2. As well as the natural experiences go to "Flying over Iceland" in Reykjavik. Hi-tech experience - a real wow.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We stayed at local guest houses on farms and ate in local restaurants. We extended our stay in the capital at the Art Hotel Holt - a privately owned hotel with the largest private art collection in the country displayed throughout all areas. Very comfortable and super breakfast.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Be careful of the weather! We had wonderful weather - cold but dry with sun every day. I understand it isn't always like that in December.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We stayed in local guest houses and had a local guide, so in that sense we benefited local people.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very good on the whole. The standard of the accommodation was modest, but that was as billed. Apparently we were upgraded in each guest house though and I'm very pleased about that as I wouldn't have wanted it to be even more basic than it was. There was also a "glacier walk" billed in the trip itinerary, but in fact we just walked to an ice cave. The cave was good, but it wasn't a glacier walk. Yes - although this perhaps seemed to be more down to the attitude of Icelanders than the tour package (good as though that was).4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was great to get out of the city and see some of the sights of Iceland. The fact this was done in a small group (11) of like minded people from a range of backgrounds made it all the more enjoyable.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Most if not all shops and restaurants accept/prefer payment by card, meaning you do not need to carry much cash with you. Food and drinks are pretty expensive, we were advised to buy sandwiches for lunch from supermarkets. Not only was this cheaper, but also meant we were able to eat on the drive so had more time at stops.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Our tour guide Thor was great, and being local meant he had a knowledge of the island. The fact the guide at the glacier had lived within a few miles most of his life, he was able to explain how the glacier had changed.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
