By visting the Ibera Wetlands you are helping to grow and rewild one of the South America's most important freshwater ecosystems. Now known for its impressive biodiversity and housing endangered species, just 30 years ago it was a degraded backwater suffering from years of cattle ranching, commercial foresting and illegal hunting. The hugely succesful rewilding project has been made possible in a significant way by money from visitors like yourselves, staying at ethically-run lodges who contribute to its preservation. In 2018 it was acknowledged with National Park status, and continues to reintroduce endangered species. We hope that by witnessing such remarkable landscapes and wildlife, you were inspired to do more to help protect the planet. We have seen that people who experience the most spectacular wonders of nature, will be more likely to do something positive when they get home.
