Vacation information
Small group tour, ideal for solos & couples:
Small group travel is not large group travel scaled down. It is modeled on independent travel – but with the advantage of a group leader to take care of the itinerary, accommodation and tickets, and dealing with the language. It’s easy to tick off the big sights independently – but finding those one-off experiences, local festivals, traveling markets and secret viewpoints is almost impossible for someone without the insider knowledge gained from years in the field. For those with limited time, a small group tour will save valuable time in planning, and on vacation.

In depth story review
“I had never seen dolphins in the wild before so that was really cool, and I didn’t really expect to see them because you don’t think of dolphins when you think of the Galapagos Islands.”

A once in a lifetime experience. Every day was another surprising wildlife encounter - snorkeling with penguins and sea turtles, hiking among (and swimming with) the marine iguanas or standing two feet away from a pair of blue footed boobies doing their beautiful, intricate mating dance. Excellent....Arriving in the Galapagos and seeing so many animals so close the first afternoon: blue footed boobies, sea lions and crabs and then so many iguanas. Read full reviewReviewed on 20 Jan 2018 by Chris Bach
The most memorable was coming face-to-face with sea lions.... actually overcoming my anxiety of snorkelling.. the great 'family' created. Read full reviewReviewed on 30 Apr 2018 by Kay Renicks
The most memorable was being able to experience wildlife up close in their own environment. Read full reviewReviewed on 17 Jul 2017 by Martin White
The most memorable was swimming with sea turtles and seeing dolphins and whales around our boat. The wildlife generally in the Galapagos is great, as is the volcanic landscape. Read full reviewReviewed on 14 Nov 2017 by Lauren Jones

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
The Galapagos was the first natural site to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site - 1979. It is also a Biosphere Reserve and Whale Sanctuary. The Galapagos is a worldwide model for eco-tourism. Here you are able to visit an area of great natural beauty and encounter, at close quarters, animal species that have no fear of humans. Strict regulations govern all tourist activities and are rigidly enforced and tourist numbers are restricted. For every visitor we take to the Galapagos we donate £25 to the Galapagos Conservation Trust www.gct.org who work to protect and conserve the Galapagos islands. We are also an active member of IGTOA, a non profit association of travel companies, conservation organizations, and other groups that seek a lasting protection of the Galapagos Islands. We lobby for conservation, fund projects, and promote and practice sustainable tourism.
We don’t use plastic bottled water, no rubbish is left anywhere by us or guides. No wildlife is disturbed and we operate a strict policy leaving the animals and flora alone.
People
We employ local staff all the way on the trip, only use hotels owned by locals, all the food is sourced locally, we take people to locally-owned restaurants to help keep the money in the islands. We are supporting two charities, the UK registered charity Amantani - which is very much in keeping with our ethos of small scale, targeted help that is educational & sustainable - and Huchuy Yachaq, a Cusco-based project which we support by paying a for a full time teacher. A percentage of our income goes to support those projects.
