Small group tour, ideal for solos & couples:
Small group travel is not large group travel scaled down. It is modeled on independent travel – but with the advantage of a group leader to take care of the itinerary, accommodation and tickets, and dealing with the language. It’s easy to tick off the big sights independently – but finding those one-off experiences, local festivals, traveling markets and secret viewpoints is almost impossible for someone without the insider knowledge gained from years in the field. For those with limited time, a small group tour will save valuable time in planning, and on vacation.
No Snow?
The Dolomites is a wonderful place to explore, whether that be on skis, snowshoes or on foot. If there is not enough snow to ski, we will don our walking boots and head out into this unmistakable mountain environment. Fresh air doesn’t get much fresher!
The hotel also has a lovely spa area to while away a few spare hours with a dip in the Jacuzzi or a swim. In past winters there have been poor snow conditions on occasions in early January.
Train Travel:
If you prefer to travel by train we can book a this for you from and to London and the nearest train station to the start point of the vacation. Contact us for full details and prices.

The highlight was just being in the beautiful Dolomite mountains. It was a cracking vacation. Not only great skiing with a good instructor and a great group, but also plenty to do outside the skiing. Read full reviewReviewed on 01 Jan 2018 by Ellen Goldsmith
The scenery and skiing was incredible. The people that I met who are now friends were amazing. Skiing over the roof of the stadium is a great memory as well as being told that I was good enough to be able to enter a race. Read full reviewResponsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
UK officeIt all starts at home so we have first worked to reduce our carbon footprint in our UK offices. Through energy conservation measures and recycling policies in place, we are proud to be actively reducing the waste produced and our impact on the environment. We support various projects all over the world to try and give something back to the places we visit.
Activity
Our selection of alternative winter activities seeks to make the most of the natural environment in its pristine state, rather than changing it. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and dogsledding are best suited to remote wilderness areas and the development of these alternatives is key to the long-term survival of many mountain communities.
People
Leaders & local suppliersOur base for the week is Hotel Tschurtschenthaler, a small family run hotel perfectly located in the center of Dobbiaco. We have worked with this hotel for many years so all our groups receive a warm welcome from the family. Thanks to the excellent location of the hotel, our groups are able to use public transport every day to take them to the start of cross-country skiing trails. All our leaders are committed to Responsible Tourism and have received training and get additional refresher training on a regular basis so they can help you reduce you impact and maximise the benefits to the local communities from your visit.
