it's the best cycling vacation I've ever been on. Read full reviewResponsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
We work with small groups, every area that we visit, stay or have activity is our common heritage, heritage that we use and share with others. With our minimum impact and interventions, our actions to keep them in the same conditions or even better as we have found them, that is our travel philosophy and mostly standard of our travelers. As tour company we try to be carbon neutral and minimize CO2 poluton our vehicles by using public transports (whenever is possible) , low carbon transportation. As active tour company we walk, ride bikes and paddle. Using bikes, walking or pedaling from place to place we minimize pollution and our impact in the wildlife. We encourage our travelers to use and drink tap water or if they have to buy bottled water it is better to use bigger packing and pour water to their own bottles. Small plastic bottles and cans of the soda drinks are very high at list of the trash in the world today. Water is also limited, a source that we have to appreciate and control spending.
Wildlife and ecosystem around us can have benefits or negative impacts, sometimes our behaving can harm wildlife and nature by leaving litter in the sea or beach, taking souvenirs (stones, shells or flowers...) this actions can have very negative consequences to the sea ecosystem, some endemic species and protected areas. We suggest to leave ni traces.
We inform travelers to be very careful with fire and to avoid open fire during summer, if they would like to go on fishing we suggest them to go with some local fishermen, if they go scuba diving we inform them about diving clubs which will take them to underwater archaeological sights which are protected and conserved. During their diving or snorkeling it is not allowed to take away anything from the sea.
People
We think that people are key of the success in any profession, as local travel company we know local communities, producers, wine makers, fisherman and farmers... our service is very much about local experience and through last 10 years connections we have surrounded with great partners and suppliers for our services. Working with host who accommodate travelers in 200 years stone house decorated with antique furniture, or if whole house is been renovated following traditional materials, we work with small boutique hotels that use to be train station and now they are renovated into fantastic hotels,...framers and wine makers a families with few hundred years old tradition of making wine, olive oil or herbal liqueurs, but nowadays they continue on organic ways but following tradition and local lifestyle. As active travel company our tours are not just about outdoor, it is more combination of activities, great services and professionalism of our employees and local experience through food, wine, crafts, life style ...Popular similar vacations
