Visiting all three Baltic states

As the filling in the Baltic bap, it makes sense to see what’s on both sides of Latvia’s borders whilst visiting the area. The neighbouring states of Estonia, to the north, and Lithuania, to the south, are easily accessible and offer every opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the region as a whole as opposed to just one Latvian perspective.
Traveling from Estonia into Latvia is probably the most sensible way to start a multi-country tour of the Baltics with chances to compare the capitals of Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius guaranteed to unlock cultural contrasts as you explore either on foot or on two wheels. Seaside resorts of Parnu, Jurmala and Klaipeda also make for interesting locations to compare one country to the next with nature trails in Latvia’s Slitere and Gauja national parks complementing history tours of Rundale Palace before heading south to Siauliai.

Why it’s worth visiting all three Baltic States in one go

How many times do we return home from vacation wishing that we’d made a bit more of an effort to get out and explore. Although staying in one place can have its advantages there’s nothing like crossing borders and comparing countries to really feel like you’ve made the most of your time away. The Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are three such countries that are crying out to be experienced as part of the same tour. Sightseeing in the capital cities alone is well-worth the extra effort, with mile upon mile of sandy coastline, combining with castles and churches dotted across ancient woodlands, adding to the fascination of traveling in Eastern Europe. Visiting all three Baltic countries is a travel experience to really be proud of and if you’re looking to return home safe in the knowledge that you’ve left nothing behind then now’s the time to reach out and grab life by the Baltics.
