One of my favorite vacations ever! In every way, the tour operator far surpassed my expectations. I miss it already, and I look forward to returning to this gem soon! Read full reviewReviewed on 11 Aug 2019 by Matthew Whittle

Very good...The setting, the amazing views, the accommodation and the delicious food. I really enjoyed the yoga - a great start to the day. The walks were varied but all very good. Read full reviewReviewed on 17 Sep 2016 by Karen Lordan
The whole experience was really personal we felt part of this place. We all ate together, walked together, laughed together and talked together. I highly recommend it. Read full reviewReviewed on 20 Aug 2015 by Penelope Franks

Planet
MoaAlm is situated at 1800m, it is 2km up the mountain from the settlement of Taurer, a fragile environment which it is our goal to protect. We serve plant based, locally sourced organic food, and change our menu with the seasons to ensure we are creating as minimul impact on the environment as possible.
Recycling is also a major part of our waste disposal. We only send one bin bag of waste to landfill each season, and are aiming to reduce our plastic usage this year.
Our water is supplied directly from a mountain spring and our heating system is a brand new 'eco' pellet burning system. The P4 pellet system has won many international quality awards in EU and USA, the most prestigious of all are the Blue Angel and the Austrian Ecolabel. Even in winter our south facing position can also provide supplementary energy from our solar bank.
Natural materials have been used in the construction and renovation of MoaAlm where possible and we have been pleased to find a number of high quality, locally produced materials to use in the refurbishment. The local tradesmen we employ are highly skilled, particularly in mediums of wood, stone and locally-produced felt.
People
Guests will eat out for lunch on occasion and one evening at locally-run recommended restaurants. We offer a weekly yoga class and coffee morning for local residents.
We support local farmers in taking care of the forestry and the forest tracks around MoaAlm.
The area also has an excellent ski school and advanced mountain guiding network of instructors that guests may choose to take advantage of. All fresh food and drink will be sourced locally where possible.
We will be employ an international team of full time staff who will receive a generous package of accommodation, food, ski pass and salary. Opportunities will also be available through our staff incentive scheme to participate in training courses annually. This scheme is in place to encourage staff to make this a rewarding full time lifestyle choice that can be sustainable rather than just a seasonal short term option.
